Steel Sand Aluminum is a composite material consisting of steel sand and aluminum that combines the high strength of steel with the lightweight properties of aluminum. The main components of the material are steel particles (60%-80%) and an aluminum matrix (20%-40%), with small amounts of silicon (Si) or magnesium (Mg) that may be added to improve the bonding properties. Steel-grit aluminum composites are widely used in wear-resistant coatings, aerospace structural components and lightweight automotive parts to withstand high mechanical stresses while reducing overall weight. Their special two-phase structure gives them excellent impact resistance and energy absorption in areas such as braking systems and armor protection.
